My Challenge
I was assigned to take a picture of an area that needed attention and then work on it in 15-minute intervals until it was completely cleaned. Since Friday, I haven't been documenting the "before" situations, but I've been tackling some spaces every day. Some projects have been larger, others smaller. Here's my list as of Sunday at 11 am:
1. Remove all expired food from the fridge and wipe it down.
2. Clean the area where the puppy was trained in the basement.
3. Major cleaning in the kennel, which took 2 hours.
4. Clean the kitchen desk.
5. Wash and pack away winter kennel clothes.
In addition to revamping one website, I'm working on another one. As I'm reorganizing, I'm deleting old "future reading" posts related to PPA. For now, I'm keeping the posts about Jim and the changes he went through, categorizing them as "Journal Before." The posts since that time are labeled "Journal After." Yes, it's before and after his death, but it's much more than that. I was a caregiver for many years, not just a wife. Jim lost his life too young, and I lost the man of my dreams - the one who was supposed to grow old with me. Even finding a photo for this website was a reminder that I'm moving forward alone. One beach chair looked lonely, and two meant someone else was supposed to be there. I finally found a photo that wasn't on a deserted beach. It looks like a set-up I would enjoy on any given day. Just a break, not a vacation alone.
